Hi,

Does anyone own a samsung combo 304b dvd rom drive? (CDR/RW/DVD). These drives unfornatley are region protected. Does anyone have the firmware to this drive inorder to make it reigon free. I ve looked at quite a few websites but they do not have one. Please help. Thanks.

Hi, I have a similar problem to you. I am also looking for the firmware to SM304B combo drive. The version I used to have was revision BT03 and driveinfo reported it to be region free. That was from an Emachines 667 Combo system. Perhaps all Emachine combo drives are like this. Unforunately for me I upgraded to version BS05 for use with CloneCD. This seems to slow down the boot process which I'm not happy about. So if you happen to find revsion BT03 perhaps you could email me where you found it. Thank in anticipation. Malcolm
