Enough Already! Producers, Why Is Robert Llewellyn No Longer The HOST?!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

I want to know the REAL reason Robert Llewellyn is no longer the HOST. I don't want anybody else to answer this. I don't want any speculations or assumptions by viewers or former contestants. I want someone in charge to answer this one.

Joe, You got way too much time on your hands. There are two shows now. Junkyard wars and scrapheap. Junkyard wars has George and scrapheap has Robert still. You should watch the one with Robert and quit your crying!

You can read. I want to hear from the Producers.

1. If you really want an answer from the producers, then perhaps you should consider writing to the producers directly, rather than hoping they'll read your message on a bulletin board.

2. This great country is all about choice. Last I looked, I had dozens of channels on my TV, hundreds of different programs to choose from. It is not the responsibility of any producer, TV station, or anyone, to create a show that you like. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Get over it.

3. If you haven't yet figured out why Robert Llewellyn is no longer the host, then obviously you are waiting for someone to give you the one answer you specifically want. He is not the host for the American series because they were hoping to find a host who the American audiences would relate to better. Many of us agree, they missed the mark. However, I strongly suspect no one's life will be ruined by this small fact.

4. Clue in: The episodes have all been taped. George will be the host for the full season. Quit complaining now, because there's nothing they can do about it until the next season.

5. Get a life.

6. Yes, I know I'm not a producer. Yes, I can read. Yes, I answered anyway. Deal with it.

You can Read and you're not in charge. This the JYW's board. I want an answer from them. They say "ask a question" and I've asked one.

-- Joe Debicki (jdebicki@hotmail.com), January 06, 2001.

They won't post. I've never seen them post to this board.

Joe, you're an idiot. Why don't you call the production company and ask them. Or better yet, go look at Robert's webpage, where he explains why he is not the host.

By the way, did I mention that you are an idiot?

-- Rick (rml@hotmail.com), January 06, 2001.

Hey rick it's simply not cool to be dissed or diss someone. This is a free thing and you don't have to read it. Some people don't like being called stupid how would you like to be called stupid. So if your gonna read this take a chill pill or get bent

-- Andrew Young (eminem_13_00_2000@eminem.com), January 07, 2001.

Looks like Andrew is now going to keep Joe company in the idiot camp. Looks like I'm now dissing you, punk. Why don't you practice what you preach and keep your mouth shout. ....actually I don't think your an idiot. Even idiots would have some use!

I love the show. When is Scrapheap appear??

-- douglas benne (dbenne1423@aol.com), January 07, 2001.

Good work Rick! You managed to peck-out the word "idiot" and spelled correctly too, I might add. Bravo, I commend you. But I think you just might be a web-thug hired by George to quell the revolt. Well your cyber-thuggery won't work slick. The people have spoken.

And Chris, look under "RDF Dork" RFD media people do respond.

-- Joe Debicki (jdebicki@hotmail.com), January 08, 2001.

Wow Joe - you got me! You're so smart. Feel better? Of course I've never seen him post before.

(As a side note, if I were from the production company I would never post to a on-line forum that lacks address verification).

-- Chris Rake (car@technologist.com), January 08, 2001.

Can't we all just get along already?!? Some of you hate George, some of us like him. We've all said what we feel, so let's move on. We are not going to "convert" each other, so let's agree to disagree. Let's have fun and post about new ideas for challenges, not who we hate or don't hate. The one thing we all have in common is a love for a great show....whether it be pre-George or during George....it's still a cool concept. Where's the love Joe? You are getting increasinly snide with anyone who seems to like the new season. Please don't think me rude when I say...Get over it. Peace out brother!

-- Sue Crum (wscrum@zekes.com), January 09, 2001.

Well said! However, I'm afraid Joe doesn't like offerings of peace. I tried, and that ended our conversation. Hmmmmmm.

-- Rhonda (mxrs@zianet.com), January 09, 2001.

i had no idea that ANYBODY watched junkyard wars...let alone cared about it...??!

-- andrew llewellyn (andrewll@hotmail.com), June 13, 2003.

Hi Joe. I'm sorry i don't have time to answer fully, but thank you for you question. The reason I am no longer host is very simple. You see, the audience we were tailoring to in our show was somewhat dissapointed, and I personally think it was the right choice to pick George for the next season.

Anyways, I am sorry for not putting in an e-mail adress, I don't want it all over the internet (Yes, I do have a personal one).
