Morning All,

We are having some problems in sunny Bashley this morning. We have turned on the computer, only to find a huge black hole covering the screen with a swirling white vortex inside! I assume we have been 'attacked' by a virus! Anyone have any ideas of what this could be, or how to get rid of it?!?

Needless to say, we will be AWOL for a short space of time, until this problem has been mended. I will pick up any advice that gets posted here from work on Monday (where I unfortunately am at the moment!) and pass it on to my distraught Mother!

All I can say is Thank God the match is televised tomorrow!!! No webcast and no matchday thread - it could have been a disaster! (:o|

And a belated Happy New Year to everyone!

(;o)

Morning Yelli. I'm far from being a 'techy'. However, my PC was supplied with a "Reload/Back-up CD" which I believe is designed to cater for this type of problem - presumably your Windows operating system has been degraded somehow.

In your situation I would simply reboot the PC with this disk in the CDROM/DVD drive which restores the system as it was "in the box" - ie without any user/document files and additional added software.

If you don't have one of these reload disks, and you can't even access DOS, then I suggest it may need to go back to a dealer.

Hopefully one of the techies on here can give you some better advice but I thought I'd post just in case you do have a reload disk.

Good luck - and don't you and your Ma stay away for too long!
