Great to see you!

It was great to see the Mags in the Stawberry before and after the manure game. My first game for about 4 years - I'd fogotten what a rip roaring football throat was like and I got a good one at that game. I'd also forgotten what 2" deep, brown slush was like and the salt tide mark you get on your shoes. Its just too soft here inSeattle. I hadn't fogotten the wind though - just the same old Geordie wind.

I was impressed with the team. YBR has definitely got them playing football. Of course that doesn't mean they are going to win all the time, as we all know. But I thought they did look a TEAM and was particularly pleased with the defence - considering the troubles it has given in the past.

I was impressed with the ground, and the atmosphere actually despite some of the concerns expressed in some threads. I can remember when we were all hugger mugger in the smaller ground and of course that was good. But I can't complain when the 52,100 can actually see the match (well I don't give a damn about those in the upper north west corner). I can remember going to game in the 1950s when there were as many in the ground - but you were lucky to see 50% of the match!

It was actually good to see manure as well. Just to be reminded what a bunch of whinners they really are! What would I do if they did actually develop some class! Fortunately there is NO CHANCE of that.

It was an unexpected pleasure to meet you in the Strawberry as well Sounder, after e-chatting to you for so long.
You certainly picked a good game to come to - although to be honest they played better against Leeds in the previous game - and I'm delighted you took such positive memories of the occasion away with you.
I trust you had an uneventful trip back to the beautiful Pacific North-West.

Quite a surprise to see you and be greeted by "You must be Screacher" (who telt ye?). An unexpected pleasure. I'm pleased the lads turned in a good performance for you and you took away so many happy memories. How long to the next time? Hopefully not another four years.
