G'day Min

A belated thanks for the ticket for the Leeds game - I've just got back to work after the break. Your organisation of the ticket was about the only thing that went smoothly. We had an air traffic controllers strike in Paris, with a resultant delayed arrival, lost luggage, and then a horror 12 hour rail trip between Newcastle and Bristol.

The match was a cracker though. I met up with several of the usual BBSers in the Strawberry before and after the match. Everyone was very pessimistic beforehand, then jubilant afterwards. I'll have to get over for games more often. I think Softy, Screacher, Pit Bull, Steph, Ciara, Susie, Dougal were all there. As was Rik, although he seems to have been on a pie-eating spree since I last saw him.

The people in the seats next to me were fairly vocal, which was good. I managed to cobtribute enough of an antipodean twang to the chants to nearly lose my voice, and to be asked "You're not from rooond here like?" Luckily Dr Guinness managed to soothe my throat afterwards, and a quick explanation or my origins resulted in the usual "do you know by brother Kevin in Wellington?"

As well as the match, the white Christmas was great, even if it arrived on boxing day. Did you have to make do with a BBQ and some beers in the sun?

Cheers

KT,

Glad you had a top time - certainly brought us a lot of luck that day. You'll DEFINITELY have to get over more often - you know who to call about the ticket if you need it. Surprised to hear about Rik and the pies - clearly spending too much time on the net. ;))

I was gutted to hear about the snow - i've been waiting for ages for a decent snowball fight - the best chance i get in years and i'm ower here. The weather wasn't that good on Xmas day and generally over the festive period, but it's making up for it now - it's a burn fest and i'm off to see NZ v Zimbabwe in the final ODI tomorrow. Should be a laugh.

for New Year i went off to East Cape to watch the sunrise - worth it though someone said it was a wash out last year and you couldn't see any sun - clear skies this year and the view of the stars were, er, out of this world.

anyway, get yerself ower there again soon. You just know that travelling this time will be a doddle...

happy new year...
