Extra data files on VCD: is it possible?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I just made my first VCD using WinOnCD 3.7 pe. Does that software (or any VCD burning software in general) allow me to add regular data files on the VCD which can be read only by a computer?

In other words, the .dat file is recognized by the DVD player, but extra files are available to curious computer users. Can one do this with a VCD?

Although I have not tried it myself, it should be possible. This I deduct from the fact that WinOnCD 3.7 PE adds HTML-files to VCD slideshows. You can then play your stills either as a sequence of HTML pages or on a stand-alone player on your TV.

yes it does/ I posted this a short time ago. Do a search in the "uncategorized" and it should have the title of "finally add extra files to vcd using winon cd 3.7" (or something extremely close to that)
