ZZ Top To Inaugurate Fellow Texan

ZZ Top will support another Texan, President-elect George W. Bush, by playing at one of the first inaugural celebrations.

The Houston rock band will perform Jan. 18 at ''The Best Little Ball In D.C.'' a sold-out private party for 1,000 guests at at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

The members of ZZ Top -- Billy F. Gibbons, Frank Beard and Dusty Hill -- have a history of supporting their home state, and vice versa. Former governors Mark White and Ann Richards named them goodwill ambassadors of the state in the '80s and '90s. And when Bush was governor, he declared that May 15, 1997, was ZZ Top Day in Texas.
