Great bg, good lighting although the blankie he's lying on is too hot in the lower left corner. I don't know if it can be avoided though. Hey, who doesn't like overalls? :) Is that TCN400 or a sepia tone of a convential b&w?

Sorry, tech details: 35mm NPH exposed at EI 200. Cropped, desaturated, sepia toned in Photoshop. I took about 20 exposures that day, and the background came out great in the vast majority of them. Of course, in this particular shot, the background to the right of his head was screwed up. (Figures, I liked this expression best.) I fixed the background in Photoshop too.

When I get a chance I'll post one of the other pics from this session, untouched by digital tools (other than to scan it). Thanks for the comments!

Well what a nice way to come back, after months away from the screen...Nice to see ya, Russ. Great shot. This site is twice as big as it was since I was moderating on a constant basis (something I quickly learned is unrequired...:-)...)
