I used the mpg-100 to burn vcds. Picture quality is good and audio/video syncronization problems have been addressed but it does drop a lot of frames in my system making some scenes jerky. I use a Pentium III 800 mhz with 256 mb of sdram. I havn't been able to solve the problem yet and I have not tried disabling memory caching. My harddisk runs at 5400 rpms.

Hi Tim

I have a green mpg-100 which as far as I know is the older one. Most cards around now are blue. I have had the card working well in Win98 but now use XP Pro and the drivers datavideo have do not work with this green card and they tell me they have no support for this card. So sadly it sits in the cupboard. If anyone can help me out with this problem it would be great. But if you can get the card to work it works fairly well. Regards Glen

Hi I've been using mpg-100 for about 3 years now and so far it has done its job fairly well. Haven't had a problem till I switched to Windows XP Pro. Can anyone please help me with a driver for WinXP Pro.. maybe direct me to a link, or better yet, if you have one, share it with me. Any help will be highly appreciated... Thanks much!

Datavideo does not appear to have a driver for XP, although they have one for Win 2000 which may work. I was unable to get to the site and download it, but here is the address:

http://www.datavideo.us/support/download_drivers.htm

You may want to contact them and ask them if they have an XP driver.
