Human powered racer!

The object is to build a human powered racing machine that must complete three laps in the lowest amount of time.

The catch : the machine must carry all members of the team!

What makes it tricky is that the simplest design, a wheeled frame powered by a single person wouldnt be very fast because it would have to carry all the other team mates!

The trick would be to figure out how to best channel all team mates available power to moving the machine... but leaves lots of problems of gearing, transmissions, etc. :-)

The idea I have is for a mud boat. I live in South Louisiana, in the U.S. and down here we have alot of those things floating in the "bayous". That would be an intersting challange because most people does not know what they are.
