Anyone else suffering the agony of waiting for Cagiva parts? I was hit by a van the last day of July and my bike's been in the shop ever since waiting for this and that and the other thing. > 5 months? I think I'm deserving of some award, either sainthood or and idiot's award for putting up with this crap. No Jap bike would ever have to wait this long for parts.

I guess I'll find out about parts availability...
Two weeks ago, I took a rock right in the headlight, and it shattered the lens! Thankfully, the projector bulbs themselves weren't damaged, but I now have the outer glass piece on order.
I'll post an update when (if ever...) the part arrives...

Well, speak of the devil! My lens came in today, just over two weeks after I ordered it. Not bad!
And the price? 140 bucks. I can live with that. Frankly, I was expecting worse...

I waited for over a year for my bike. It came into the dealer in Aug. and was stolen fromn the dealer the next day. Had to wait 3 more months. Got the bike mid november and the 3rd day a truck ran a stop sign, I almost missed him, but it caught the front of the bike. I broke the windscreen, front fairning and sealed headlight assemby. I called my dealer as soon as I got home. He ordered me those 3 parts, and I had them on my doorstep in 2 weeks. Did the work myself, amazing design on the MV, and got in only one more day before the cold weather. She is as good as new. I guess it all depends on availability, maybe they felt bad for me since my original one got nixed. If you get nowhere with the dealer try calling Ferracci yourself and putting some pressure on them. Good luck.

(Sigh) Actually, Ferraci is who's working on it. I don't speak Italian so I doubt I'd get anywhere by calling Cagiva IT. To their credit, a whole bunch of stuff was broken, and the list is down to 2 parts...well, actually 3. That secondary radiator was dented. It's still perfectly functional (or so I'm told) but they can't even give a price for it for my insurance, much less actually get one.

Finally got the bike back yesterday - 5 1/2 months after the accident. Ferracci did an excellent job: it's perfect again. Not so the weather. I may have to wait quite a while to take it for a spin.
