greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

You made Wor Messiah go grey....Dogleash go even more sour and Gullit to lose his cool...now you have a pensioner swearing his head off on the radio :-)

It's the pressure of managing a *REALLY* big club.......

;-))

PS Judging by Fergies florid chops over Chrimbo, your lot have driven him to drink.....I thought he was a stickler for no booze?

LOL Red, must admit tho refreshing change from party political inter- views by other managers , step aside jug ears and sacko , Pitman`s Passions takes over!!!!

I don't know what you lot do to the Imperial Lord Ferg but he looks like he has a bottle of whiskey for breakfast. Managing NUFC must be like a walk in the park compared to dealing with your lot.

I guess if I had to spend years teaching the Ugly sisters how to defend and years telling Beckham which way to kick a ball I'd turn to drink as well, but so soon in the day?!

Shrimps v Ipswich on Saturday, Mega can of Whoopass for Harvey's lads?

Well I needed a stiff drink after the 1st half against West Ham....I couldn't believe a football team could play THAT well :-)

-- Anonymous, January 03, 2001

Come on you Shrimps!!

Anyway....next season you'll have "John, if I had a gun I'd've shot him Gregory...and that man IS a loony already :-)

No more imbalanced than ILF who believes Sunlung can challenge Manure for the title!

LR,

I couldn't make my mind up in the WHU game whether it was your lot that were that good, or that the 'ammers were just utterly sh*te. However, after "that" unbelievable first goal, then an OG, I guess WH were just deflated.
I'm not saying the Reds didn't play well mind, but for the neutral it was another real balls-acher.

Smiler...we're talking about it now across on a Red site. SAF seems to make these substitutions when the game is won but the "entertainment" value all but buggers off!!! Keane and Giggs were both running the show so he takes 'em off and puts Greening on.........Jeeeeeeze.

-- Anonymous, January 03, 2001

Never mind the entertainment value, you looked poor for about 15 mins after Giggs and Keane went off. I guess Fergie wouldn't have done it against a better side.

Doesn't encourage the prawn sarnies to stick around though.

LR, John 'I'm a loony' Gregory, will never be a Newcastle United manager. At our club the fans hire and fire the manager, and we are quite happy with who we have.

-- Anonymous, January 03, 2001

Excuse me folks but there's nowt wrong with being a loony.

Being a John Gregory on the other hand deserves hung drawn & quartering

Come on then own up who on here decided to hire Dalglish? If it was the same person who hired Gullit they should be banished.

I realise you were not being entirely serious DB, but if we cast our minds back to when KK bogged off, TSM was the popular choice as the "best man available" - as was TDO when TSM 'resigned'.

Therefore, I reckon at least 20-30 people on her must have selected both of them - me included!
Shows what we know - although I did also recommend YBR, so my judgement may be improving marginally!

You're quite right Clarky! If all that proposed the previous incumbents were banished this BBS would be more lifeless than this morning!

-- Anonymous, January 04, 2001

I would just like to say that I questioned the appointment of TDO. I had heard several stories about some of his decisions at Chelsea.

However, I was excited at the prospect of "sexy football"
