Those red cards

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Saw the incidents on Sky news but it was a bit difficult to be sure of Solanos/Sullivans. Dyer totally lost his rag and definetly at least told the linesman to f*** off. So what 3 matches do they miss...isnt it 3 for straight red? Solano +Dyer will have been well rested tonight for Sunday and the 3 games they miss will give them both a deserved rest. A chance for others to show their talent e.g Gavilan+ LuaX2- isnt that why we spent millions on them?!

Solano will only get one game for deliberate handball preventing a goal. He will miss Leeds away or any replay we might have against Villa. I'm not sure about foul and abusive but I'm pretty sure it isn't three games, I think it's two games in which case Dyer will miss Leeds plus either Villa replay, FA CUp R4 or Chelsea away.

"I would like to smash the ball, not at that referee but at another referee and see if he could get out of the way of it..."

Bobby's reaction. He's furious. Swearing on BBC national radio. Spot on. Never heard him so angry - and he's not that kind of character. Proves the point. The FA should take a close look at that game and the decisions made and think about overurning them.

Dyer will get the fine he deserves by the sounds of it, I know it's a harsh decision but he has to learn to live with things like that. If he stayed on the pitch we could have pulled back to 3-3 and salvaged something from this debacle.

Bobby sounded well pissed off and rightly so. All the pundits, even Trevor 'On the fence' Brooking said the sending offs and the penalties were all debatable.

Still no win in London. Surely we can break that hoodoo this season.

So when Dyer and Solano are on vacation, how will the team line up?

Presumebly the defence will remain the same.

That leaves us with Acuna, Bassedas and Speed from our midfield starters. So does Bobby leave Shola on his lonesome and play two natural wingers in Glass and Gavilan in a five man midfield? or do we get to see Shola and LuaLua up front together and a rearanged midfield?

He doesn't seem to want to play Glass or Gavilan, does he? (I know both have had injury probs) I wonder if he'll play, say, Griffin and Barton as wingbacks and go with three of Acuna, Bass, Speed and Lee across midfield, with two strikers (most likely Cordone and Ameobi, though Gallacher should be back soon and could theoretically play behind a front man in a 5-3-1-1).

There seems to be a pecking order, Gavilan and Glass are just outside the top sixteen, but may come ibto the frame with Dyer and Solano out. Rob Lee could be back by then as could Cort, who may well play upfront with Ameobi instead of Dyer.

Eventually every dyke has to have a leak DeBuilder (oo-er) and our London dam will burst its walls against Charlton, live on TV around the world ...

There again we may get humiliated once again in nancy white shorts.
