-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
We scored first with NobbyRebrov scored for them after Harper had pulled off two saves.
Speed tackles Anderton (dodgy) they get a pentaly
Sol handles in the box (dodgy) sent off Harper saves 2nd penalty
Now Rebrov has scored again 3-1

woah! me too. lovely!
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Yoo Hoo
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
So, what's Bobby's second half plan. Hold them for a 3-1 loss, or pull out all the stops and go for a win at all costs? Let's face it, we have nothing to lose now do we?? Let's get into them, and let's get into them hard!!!!!!!
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
That's all my fault...my lucky black-and-white shirt was in the laundry, after succesfully helped us against ManU...
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
On the bright side, if you were neutral it sounds like a rip roaring match. On the other hand, we're not. We need to get at least one of them sent off otherwise we're going to continue to be overpowered. If you were Bobby, what would you do for the second half? How are we going to score two goals and "stay" solid at the back? There's no point in damage limitation - that just means accepting we're going to lose. What would you do with the 13 outfield players we're left to choose from?
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
gus....i claim my £100!
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
I`ll get the first round Jay - you get the next one - we may need a few!!(:o)
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Hiya Gus - shall I get another straw for my wine box? Happy New Year! (:o)
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
If we win, it'll be one of the games everyone will always remember. If we lose by no worse than we're doing now, we'll forget it in a few weeks and just say we were unlucky to lose Nobby.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
If crosses are causing us problems we either have to have better centre of defence or better means of cutting off source. Caldwell would strengthen centre, maybe three centre halves, push Griffin and Barton forward to pressurise midfield source.Midfield of Acuna, Speed and Bassedas is what we are stuck with, Dyer has to do even more than usual and be midfield/forward link and poor Shola has to increase his nkowledge of playing on his own up front in the Premiership, hope his confidence is up to it
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Penalty to us !!!!!!11
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Dyer ran miles, Sullivan has touched him, 3rd dodgy pen says radio 5 Sullivan sent off !!!!!!!!!! and still arguing

-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Three-One down, Four-Three up with 10 men to boot, Ollie Burton sent off I believe....Notts Forest, F.A. Cup quarter Final. Need a pitch invasion. Any old farts out there up for it???

Yessssss!!! And I was just reading the stats on this ref the other day, most lenient Ref in the Premier, only one penalty and one red card so far this season. Must be his New Years Resolution to catch up with the other w@nkers in his profession.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001

-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
right. play them at their own game. Get another two players sent off and the game's abandoned. DISGRACEFUL!
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
My half time wish came true - and it was clearly the way to kill two birds with one stone - get a pen and the goalie sent off. Except ... I don't think we can do it twice ... anyway it's going to be an open game from now on
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
we're now playing a 4-3-1 formationBassedas booked for diving
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Hi Eddy and Jay welcome to the new year.Jay, if it is a draw do you both get your forfeits?
Sorry to sound snobby Galaxy I'm a little slow it is almost 0500 here and I will have to skulk back to bed and try not no wake Mrs gus, but I do not drink box wine.
We both have time off.

Evening all - THIS IS COMPLETELY FUCKING MAD
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Radio 5 reckon the officials have lost the plot
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
I can't really see Gary Speed lasting the game, he seems to struggle with heated games, and as for dodgy S.American types well
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Who is the madman in the middle?? Anyone?
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Ha Ha - I predicted 0-0!
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Like I said earlier,And I was just reading the stats on this ref the other day, most lenient Ref in the Premier, only one penalty and one red card so far this season. Must be his New Years Resolution to catch up with the other w@nkers in his profession.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Well we can`t say it`s dull! Bassedas booked now for diving (allegedly). COME ON LADS GET THE EQUALISER!!!!!!!God I hope Bobby`s got his extra strength heart pills!!!!!
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Rebrov goes down in penalty area, but ref has used up this centuries penalty awards

Can just picture tomorrow's headlines 'Honours even as 8 man Spurs fail to impose numerical advantage over battling Magpies in 8 goal thriller'
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Sorry Gus - did I say `box`, I meant `case`, of course! (;o)
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Prime opportunity for Lua x 2, lots of space out there and not too many left to pass it to, bring him in Bobby, he can put himself about
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
strange .... both our scorers sent off, sad quiz question of the future
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
evening Gav. should be careful mate, you'll get sent off for language like that.....
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Which game will Dyer and Solano both miss? Can't wait to see the line- up for that one.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Evening Gav - unbelieveable isn`t it? (:o|
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001

Shite - is it 3 games for a sending-off? Ommagawd.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
macbeth, you say that but aren't we just short of numbers...? ; )
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
A point I made a long time ago, when things like this happen, the thing that started me off was Ruddock kicking Viera after he was booked, Viera retaliated and was sent off. Nothing happened to Ruddock. When the referees make bad, not just wrong decisions nothing happens. The consequences change the game. 1st penalty appears to be wrong, Dyer would not have reacted if the kick was given to him as the commentators think it should have. What will happen to them? Most likely nothing as the Assisstant will have been correct for the second decision in getting Dyer sent off.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
At least the games they miss will give Glass and Gavilan a decent opportunity though hell probably stick Bassedas on the right. Itll also give Dyer +Solano a rest.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Whatever happens to the score, no can say this is a proper match any more. It's not even a dirty match, just lots of unfortunate incidents .... And I can imagine Bobby won't be too pleased with Dyer for letting his mouth get him sent off.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Glass coming on soon
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Anyone know when the bans take effect considering our next game is FA cup. I presume its the following 3 league games??
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
There is normally a fourteen day period from the offence date.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Can we do a Tranmere and get ourselves up to 10 players again during the substitutions?

-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Come on Come on Come on Come on Come on
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Dan - the point against ManU - this match is more to do with the ref than anything else (IMHO)(:o)
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Sir Les makes it 4-2
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
I was watching 'Deep Impact' - but this is far less believable.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Speed or Barton i reckon.a point tonight would be a HUGE [and FAIR] result. Battled our way back. Let's finish the job.

-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Hiya Steph! Yep, they are still sounding great! (:o)

-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Another save from corner, 3 minutes added time
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
I have a confession to make. I didn't drink out of my lucky NUFC tea- cup before the game. I'm afraid this is all my fault.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
They're not giving up - Speed just had shot saved and Lua2 tipped over the bar

-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
That wasn't a real game. Forget it and go on with the spirit of the Christmas games
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
how, macbeth.Get yerself off this forum for "severe sarcasm regarding the beautiful game's wonderful officials". Shambolic behaviour and you know it. ; )
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Oh well, the Gods were definately against us tonight, but it is most heartening to hear that we didn`t give up - at least we can take that from the game.On the minus side though, those two sending offs could cost us a bit in a couple of weeks time.
Nice sharing the excitement with you folks. (:o)
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
aye, aye...more vodka next time, Galaxy....
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Bring on Aston Villa _ Dyer and Solano have had a good rest tonight with just an hour and a bit of play between the two of them, and a goal each.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
The feckin Ref should be bliddy well ashamed of himself. Three red cards, three penalties, how many yellow cards I wonder. No disgrace in losing the points on this one. Well done Lads
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
aye, well done...nothing to worry about there - scored 2, had the better of them with 11 men. Would've been nice to know at the start of the match that we'd be playing 14 instead of 11.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
No disgarace losing in London with 9 men against a team who haven't lost at home this season.
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Looks like they will be suspended for Leeds away - SH*T!!
-- Anonymous, January 02, 2001
Gavilan and Glass - time to take your chance and take your claim...

Just back in Blyth after a "flying trip" back up the M1. Sorry occifer. Anyway, we did ourselves proud tonite - the Toon Army that is. Actually, the team played well, and had it not been for that stupidbastardfellow LKD swearing an thewankerchap in the middle's sidekick, we could have won it. Couldn't see from where I wassatstanding whether Sullivan deserved to go off, but I can defo say that the first penalty wasn't and the second was a bit harsh when the ball is thumped at you. But in all honesty, there's no excuse for Dyer's reaction, even if he was fouled. Mind, it does show he was up for it, but having levelled the numbers and brought it back to 3-2, we could have gone on to win - Spurs were rocking but losing LKD finished any chance we had of getting something from the game.In a way, I'm pleased Dyer reacted, but not in the way he did - especially as we aren't exactly overflowing with striking talent up front.
Right I'm off to bed - gotta get up in the morning to gaan back to work. Bugger.
