I use TMPEG Encoder. I've created MPEG 1 files from an avi one without any problem. But I tried to encode an ASF file and the mpeg file I got had sound problem. He plays the sound during 5seconds and stop to play the sound. I have to pause to make it read the sound again. This problem was not on the asf file.

Have u got an idea ?

Thanks

ASF is encoded with MPEG4 for video and Window Media Audio(WMA) or MP3. Both of these codecs are a no no for TMPGEnc to decode and encode back to MPEG1 LayerII format audio. This is why you are having the sound problem. You need to convert the audio part of ASF over to uncompress PCM (WAV) format and feed that into TMPGENc to encode with the video(ASF/MPEG4) portion of the stream. I've posted a how to convert ASF to MPEG1 VCD a few threads back. Check it out there.
