Search on for missing plane in B.C.

PENTICTON (CP) -- Searchers are combing an area of British Columbia's southern interior for a light plane that went missing Sunday.

The twin engine Piper Aerostar vanished during bad weather while making an approach to the Penticton airport.

Capt. James Pirotti, a spokesman for the Canadian Forces, said poor weather hampered search efforts.

But Pirotti said the air search would resume Tuesday.

Four Americans from Idaho were aboard the plane.

Searchers have not been able to detect any signal from an emergency locator transmitter.
