How the f@%&!?

How are we still 7th? With the injuries we've had to KEY positions and the need to blend in new players I think Bobby is pulling off a bliddy miracle.

It bodes well for the coming year when hopefully we'll have a team of fit players who want to play for the club. Bobby has talked recently about the spirit shown by Acuna and particularly Bassedas who has played with a broken nose.

It seems to me that we are gradually getting players in who have a strong desire to achieve something and play for the club and not themselves. A sound basis for success in my opinion and hopefully Bobby can get a couple of quid to build on it. Hopefully we'll start next season with a team Bobby has selected as the players HE wants to be in the team and not just what he has available.

More importantly than most, GOOD LUCK to the club and the players!

Happy New Year DB.

Actually, this is the 2nd miracle Bobby has brought off at the Toon - his first was keeping us in the PL last season. If ever a Manager deserved the opportunity and financial muscle to finish the job it's this man.

Happy New Year Clarky!

Hopefully things can only get better on the injuries front and we'll start to get a settled nucleus of players who we use and overhaul the mackems

I saw the match on Tv the other day [still want the video though gus!]. It's the first game i've seen since i left in September and the main difference i immediately noticed was Acuna, Bassedas and Lua x2 - they're all ball players. Y'know, play football on the ground. Pass and move. It's feel's like it's been AGES since i saw that. Before, we had a couple of players who could play it on the ground, but we're starting to get a TEAM of players who can do it. Full credit to the players and the coaching staff and YBR himself. This is only the beginning.......

That's what I think about Bassedas who appears to be able to pass the ball exactly where he wants to. All he has to do is realise that he has less time to make that pass and by the look of it he is adjusting nicely. All we need from him now is a few shots flying in from outside the area and we'll be laughing.

Players with high technical ability and a desire to play seem to be on Bobby's shopping list so there is real hope that the future is good.
