I got the blues this morning, got the blues all day today
I got the blues this morning, got the blues all day today
I wish a tornado would come and blow my blues away.

First day back, Happy one to you all.
Four points from the last two games was fantastic. Well done Bob and the lads. Spurs are no great shakes n'aal.
Back to the coal face for me, oh God!

My Boss comes in this morning and asks everyone if our batteries are re-charged? When did we get the chance to do that everyone asks!

Tho still official holiday rosteredback on today at double bubble,13 0n plant, cookie has day off so just done 28 bacon butties, with black pudding and sausages accompanient. For lunch the catering manageress has left out 14 whole chickens , I`ll meake nowt fancy, chicken and chips in a bin would seem obvious fayre , prawn coctail and trifle.

I have recovered, got off the grid fast on Friday, pub at 6-10pm for last football meeting of the millenium which I was limiting to 1hr max starting at 8pm. (I am sure Freddie S does not open meeting with 4 pints and 4 nips inside and a pint and nip in transit). With the winter break now in force I as Chairman/Sec felt it was time to reward the playing staff for a fine year all round, no not two weeks in Spain the senior players were told to report to the pub to play the committee at darts, team building type of thing!!!, The darts finished at 1.45am with the board beating the players!!, Incidentally the main item on the agenda was to decide if we were to charge the primary kids £1 to attend each coaching session, motion rejected all round although the kids have to sell 2 x £1 draw tickets to parents, there is country logic there somewhere . Saturday after the excess of previous evening I glided back down in the most civilised of fashions, I stayed indoors and drank 4 bottles of "Oak Malt Stout" , a Xmas gift made at Alloa Breweries, delicicious, followed by a Ruby , and the comfort of a fine performance Buff was at peace with himself, the good lady, releived dog and assorted cats who tend to tread warily around me on a Saturday,

Bliddy silly weather forecasters saying blizzards , gales ,snow avalanches made me cancel visit to daughters on Hogmanay, where she had prepared a sumptious meal , instead went to village hall, own booze, eats, 375 of us having a ceildih until 6.00am. New years day, just visiting, dram here , dram there, winding down. So its back to work today , if thats what you call it !!BTW it was discussed on here recently but what is a , how you say "Hangover", never get them ,all in the mind, are they good to have?, how much are they? please advise

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL THE NICE PEOPLE ON HERE - SLANGE -

Sitting in a freezing office as the heating hasn't kicked in yet! Working my way through 500+ e-mails! At least there aren't any bosses in to distract me from the bbs by expecting me to work! ;-)

Happy New Year Buff - sounds like you had a very civilised and very enjoyable weekend.

The totally incorrect dread weather forecast us us off venturing out on NYE. However, New Years Day was made very, very special by my first grand-daughter leaping on my lap and calling me "Grandad" for the very first time. Goose bumps job!
