soapmaking

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

a friend of mine is learning to make soap-she makes a wonderful goatsmilk soap too. She uses some essential oils, but wondered about makingone with adding vitamin E. If you can do this, how do you add it(or maybe when is the better question) and how much to add.

Thanks!

Hi Sarah,Here's a place that has some recipes and a calculator to figure out how much of each ingredient you want to put in to create your own recipe. It's awesome. Sorry, I don't know how to do that link thing. http://the-sage.com/ on the left side of that page click on "services" should take you to "lye calculator". Soapmaking is a lot of fun! There are lots of free recipes and info. An on-line search on "soapmaking" will pull up a lot of stuff.
