When i record an mpeg to a cd-rw and play it on my player..the sound skips and the picture will have big square boxes jumpin around...Is there a way to get a clear picture and sound?

you have a bad encoded mpeg clip, that is why the picture is showing block noise and the sound skips. To make quality VCD, you will need definitely a good video source and a good encoding method (hardware or software). Hardware is quite expensive to do, since they are usually in the 1500 dollars range and above. Softwares on the other hand are cheaper, since there are a few FREE encoders available out there. However, this method is quite time consuming.

Yes, I have the same problem with the skipping sound and picture....but where can i find those free mpeg encoders??? Help Please!
