I Have a Panasonic DVD A120, I was told that it can play VCD's recorded on a CDRW, I was unsuccessfull at it. I have Adaptec EZ cd creator regular edition, I made a copy of an existing VCD on a CDRW and tried playing it, it said no disc, does anybody have any suggestions or is there any evaluation copy of Video CD creating software. Please advise. Also if anybody does not mind giving me the deluxe edition of EZ cd creator, It would be really great.

Try Verbatim datalifeplus CD-RW. It works on all Panasonic DVD player or so I was told.Adaptec deluxe costs around $60 and it is worth it Or you can get Videopack 4.0 on the web. It is slightly time consuming but can make awsome menus and a very good VCD maker. It is avilable on some websites for free. Happy surfing!!

Look at www.vcdhelp.com. It says even Memorex CD-RWs work on Panasonic A120 DVD player. -Chakradhar

I also have a Panasonic A120 DVD player.

If you read the manual, it says that it does NOT read CD-R or CD-RW media, even though it will play original VCDs.

It is very frustrating, as I have also been trying to create my own VCDs.

The only partial sucess that I have had was with burning a CD onto a CD-RW with EZ CD creator. It was able to read the number of tracks but it couldn't read the music. After reading what I have read here, I will give a VCD a shot to see what happens.

The DVD player will play RWs, but on some, like mine, you need to increase the laser power. it's realatively simple, similar to increasing it on a PSX. I did it to mine, and it plays RWs now.
