Official site omission!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I note with disgust that the Official Site still provides no confirmation that our captain and arguably our star player, Alan Shearer, requires knee surgery that will keep him out of action for at least three months! In the Leeds match report, they mention that he was absent from the team - so they aren't totally brain dead!.

Of course, any update on his condition, post-surgery, is expecting way too much - does the Club really believe this is something in which the fans have no interest whatsoever?

BBC Radio2 news (6pm) has just reported that AS is now back at home after a successful knee operation yesterday morning.

The Journal this morning reports that AS was home the same day as his operation - that it says was completely successful - and he has already begun some work in the gym to maintain his fitness level.

It says he has targeted the Boro game in March as his comeback game - ahead of the target set him by BR.
