I'll be leaving NZ towards the end of next year and i'm looking at gannin' hyem to Newcastle. Trouble is, i'm not sure what jobs are around and can't find any decent sites that'll help - the ronnie isn't anyway.

On the off-chance, does anyone know of any design/DTP/web design companies or print/publishing agencies in Newcastle that i could start looking at?

Min, I know there's tons of little web design places. Keep checking the online jobs. I think the Journal's listings go online on Mondays. I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but know I found a number last year. Have you looked into Sage? Software company, but I believe they did have web design stuff too. Also quite a bit around Leeds. It's not Newcastle, but a more reasonable commute than London, less expensive than London, and perfectly placed for travel to most away matches. ;-)

For what it's worth, last year's fastest growing company in the UK (according to The Times last month) was a Gateshead software house known as Prism (or was it Prism Tech). I don't know if web design is their thing though.

many thanks. I'll check them out ASAP. I used to live in Leeds so that's always a possibility, but it's not Newcastle and somehow just doesn't compare....; )
