Maybe a machine of perpetual motion that would see which lasts longer

I dunno... I'm pretty sure that a perpetual motion machine is impossible. When you say "lasts longer" I hope you dont mean which one will run longer, because perpetual motion machines wouldn't stop unless somebody stopped them. If I'm wrong about them not being possible, I hope somebody shows me the plans for it, or if failing that, a link to a website that has the plans.....

im positive one is impossible, but i meant to say a perpetual motion machine that will keep "moving" for an extended amount of time. id say its a bad idea though now because i guess that it would be built to quickly and it wouldnt be fun to watch.

I think it's a goooood idea even though the criticisms stated are valid. The high milage vehicle challenge was very similar. The two teams could build a machine that would operate only by some predetermined force such as the wieght of a bowling ball. Or they could build a vehicle to coast the farthest after a down hill.
