Don't know how common this knowledge is, but does anyone know that Ronaldinho's current contract expires in February, and so far the lad hasn't looked at signing another one.

He may be a wee nippy lad, but he's considered the hottest property in South America, and of all the prominant members of Brazil's under 23 Olympic team, he's the only one who hasn't signed a contract or pre-contract with a European team. He's managed by his older brother who's counseled him not to rush to Europe to soon.

Buff,

Emerton's at Ajax or some where like that at the moment. However he's a right winger, not a striker. Most of our top young players are now overseas in some of the mid size and big leagues. The only top young Aussie left in Oz is Simon Colosimo, and he's a right back cum central defender. He almost ended up at Sunderland, however Boro stepped in and stuffed up the transfer, which resulted in him staying at home and his club folding as it needed the transfer fee to stay afloat. Sort of a win/lose situation.

I see Huckerby's likely to move from Elland to Maine. De Canny Lad is also rumoured to be on his way, either to OT or Lazio, depending on who you listen to.

Now, I'm not a fan of Huck. IMHO, he's done nowt since he left SJP. But DC - well, he's a different matter altogether. Worth a punt (assuming FS will open his piggy bank)???
