A Stash, A Bible, A Rifle & A Bagga Doughnuts - Episode II: The Milne Factor Strikes Back

I find it interesting who responded favorably to this crap, and who opposed it. We see some of the original debunkers renouncing Invars insane hateful 'saga', while at the same time several timebomb 'regulars' just lap it up. [note to any stinkbomb censors who may read this: I have saved copies of this hateful crap that WILL be posted to the deleted threads forum should you now chose to remove it.] "Never Forget"

Ken Decker had a thread similar to this one the other day, basically "remembering the anniversary"

Its a good read on the true state of the "Pit" (as it was called) around that time. It is also pretty eye opening to see some of those regulars and how they cheered "Invariably Stupid" on.

LOL! Memories!

The most astounding thing to me about the whole Y2K internet scene was that the writings of a mad-man like Invar would be accepted by some. To this day I still don't understand the mind-set of the doomer crowd.

Neither do I. And I was one of 'em...

-- (anon@mou.se), December 27, 2000.

Invar was somebody whose presence I definitely could have done without on the old forum. Then again JBD himself was quite a character.

Diane Squire Identity Revealed

Hey everybody. You imagined the above post from andy because we all read about how he was going to shut up for awhile. what a tease.

Getting back on topic, would it be paranoid of me to suggest that Diane J. Squire is really that old video producer Mrs. YourDoneFer?

I hear if the video sells PBS is giving Mr. & Mrs. YourDoneFer a rip off show of Hometime. How to grind wheat, shop for a generator, butcher rabbits, identify suckers, field strip an M-16, blow holes in hungry people, etc

I am positive if "-- Archivist (keeper@of.truth)," revealed his/her REAL name, we could post many quotes he/she were famous for. How about it Archivist?

For Trolls Only

JBD doesn't think he's a troll. He thinks he's a person with an opinion about Y2K that runs counter to the mainstream of this board. He's trying to express it in a creative way instead of getting into long boring arguemants.

This is the last time I break charachter.

Have a nice day

I revealed my real name on the uncensored forum. And all the info that I will *EVER* publicly post on the internet from now on. I explained it all to "Z", who seemed to understand. I don't expect that you would. But, feel free to look up any one my my 6 or 8 posts to Timebomb.... I made so many. I lurked since early 98. The few times I said something I was anon. Diane called me a troll on more than one occasion. All because I disagreed with the doom senario.

BTW, here is your "hero" Invar:

"

Bagga, Bagga, Bagga,

On behalf on Andy, (who hit the nail on the head about you) I offer the following: FUCK YOU.

I see your sorry-worthless hungry ass come a crawling out from under your rock, to plead for a slice of bread - I will blow your piss-ant brains all over your rock. It will save all of us the misery you have caused this forum at your mere existence.

Funny, I actually smile at the thought. Better hope the FBI is compliant and functional post-Y2K shithead. You may end-up like Mussolinni.

-- INVAR (gundark@aol.com), December 28, 1998. "

humph, this is the sleazball that Diane thanked for being her "christian warrior".

And she had the cohones to call me the troll.

Must do while in Las Vegas: Don't miss the Seafood Buffet at $27.00 at the Rio. Don't miss the Cirque de Sole' show Mystere' at Treasure Island. Don't miss the Dancing Waters show at Bellaggio. Don't miss the Venetian Shopping Mall. It's like the Truman Show where the outside is really inside. Don't miss going to the Top of the Tower at the Stratosphere. Most importantly don't miss the Pub and Brewery at the Monte Carlo. This gem was my favorite find. Do miss Sam's Town and the Fiesta.

Civil War 2 Vol 1 Issue 1 December, 1995

A look at the possible racial/cultural civil war in the US and existing civil wars happening right now with participants divided along similar lines. Mr. Chittum has a decidedly Patriot/White Supremecist slant to his outlook. The format is very readable, with the factoid/newsquib (with headline) followed by a paragraph or two of commentary.

And she had the cohones to call me the troll.

Jeez, why didn't someone tell me I was spelling it wrong all this time?

Sheesh.

-- Patricia (PatriciaS@lasvegas.com), December 28, 2000.

surprizing to see pshannon denounce INbred. The rest of the sicko's attacked him for it!

Again, look at the weighted responses. mostly doom idiots, cheering for more sickness, backslapping, high-fiving, whatever. Silence from more regulars (who should have denounced this pervert and his writings). The only sanity comes from ....YOU GUESSED IT!....DeBunkers!

Thanks for the post, Arch. Another proof text of what was wrong with the yourdon kult!

Is that the same Invar as the religious pharisee called Invar who refuses to celebrate Christmas because he's too holy for pagan rituals?

Oh my! What would God say

-- me (yes@youknow.me), December 28, 2000.

OTFR/Chris also said she didn't like the whole thing.

That's 2 "doomers". Should I keep counting?

-- (keeping@my.own.records), December 29, 2000.

dear "(keeping@my.own.records)"

Feel free to continue counting. You should finish in mere seconds, as most doomer/cultists enjoyed "INbred's" (hah hah, I like it!) perverse Saga.

For each person you show didn't like it, I can show dozens of regulars who DID.

-- Archivist (keeper@of.truth), January 01, 2001.

This thread is interesting because it goes back to the beginnings of the 'polly/doomer' flame war. Jimmy Bagga Doughnuts was arguably the first 'polly troll' and Invar was the first 'doomer' by falling for Jimmy Bagga's bait.

I don't like Invar and I never did. Having said that, it should also be noted how those in the optimistic camp chose not to criticize JBD and his antics. I can't blame the majority of people on both sides who chose not to comment though. The main topic should've been Y2k and not the flame war which was just beginning.

Also interesting was the connection between Thomas W. Chittum on the one hand and people like Cpr, Mutha Nachu, Doc Paulie and possibly Andy Ray on the other. Tom Chittum's views on Hispanics and his belief in the alleged NWO is something one would think would've infuriated somebody like Y2k Pro. To Doc Paulie's credit, he later made it clear he did not share Chittum's political views.

When the link from the debunker board to Chittum's site was removed in 1999, Cpr claimed Chittum had only played a small role in the Y2k debunking movement but was silent about Chittum's extreme politics. It would not be fair though to claim Cpr shared Chittum's views. Likewise, it would not be fair to claim the majority of posters on Ed Yourdon's forum who said nothing about Invar shared Invar's views.

"... it would not be fair to claim the majority of posters on Ed Yourdon's forum who said nothing about Invar shared Invar's views. "

Don't assume that all doomers read all of the posts. Who had time?

-- helen (b@r.f), January 02, 2001.

Likewise, it would not be fair to claim the majority of posters on Ed Yourdon's forum who said nothing about Invar shared Invar's views.

-- No real name (like@everybody.else), January 02, 2001.

The problem with that line of reasoning is that the yourdon cultists used the opposite approach when painting optimists. There were immediate cries for "anyone who doesn't agree with that should denounce it. I take silence as agreement". THEN the lies started about how "all the debunkers" wanted to silence TB2K. Nonsense.

One person wanted it removed from mit's servers....thats all.

The incorrect doomer thinking also turned into the insane antics of several regular doomers (old git, diane squire, arlin adams, etc) trying to smear anyone that even POSTED to a debunking forum. The creation of "outingsR" was one such example.

They can't have it both ways you know. You are correct to say that not everyone should be judged by silence, BUT EVERYONE SHOULD BE JUDGED by the standards they set. Those WERE the standards of the yourdon cult, and they should be judged by them.

-- (Iw@s.there), January 02, 2001.

Patricia, the word is spelled "cojones" but pronounced with an "h" sound in place of the "j".

To anyone else who wishes to hold me responsible, as a doomer, for the posts and words of everyone else self-identified as a doomer, you may now apologize for cpr's words to moi. Makes a lot of sense, doesn't it? Please.

Some of the doomers often referred to as "rabid" by debunkers were as decent and kind in my personal dealings with them as Ken Decker was. I found it confusing and troubling that ANYONE got flamed for expressing opinions, regardless of how far out they might seem to others. Flaming didn't help. It didn't matter who was flaming or who was being flamed. Flaming is and was and always will be a silly waste of time. Hatefulness is ugly and contagious. After a while it doesn't matter who started it.

For any doomer who may have convinced you that s/he was threat, there were many other doomers quietly preparing to take care of as many people as they could within their communities.

My fear was not that my unprepared neighbors would kill me for my delectable corpse, it was that I might fail to help them because of my own short-sightededness. Triage isn't my specialty. Many "rabid" doomers expressed a deep need to avoid having to do that with otherwise healthy people. No one I know wants to shove away a hungry child, doomer or not.

Our recent multi-day winter storm left many of my neighbors without power, water, or the means to leave their homes. We checked on them and let them know we would help them with any need. Doomer or not, I expect the same from each and every one of us at all times. All of us are decent human beings. I'd bet my life on it.
