Fortress St James

Did anyone else get this in their stocking this year? From reading the history it appears that the city council over the years has held back NUFC & development at SJP more than the much maligned board. Did anyone else get the same imoression.

Never read the book Dave, but that's the way I always saw it. The cooncil were the ones who owned the leasehold (or whatever the technical term is) on SJP. While other grounds were being developed, SJP stayed for too long in the Dark Ages. Thankfully, things changed and we now have the cathedral we all worship in.

I put some of the better pictures from Fortress St James on ST JAMES' 2000 It's a cracking book, with some great pictures. I also got Newcastle United a photographic history in my stoking. Even better pictures to steal in that one.
