Deep spots and sparking mark on the component even though using copper plate between component & electrode. Any Ideas?

We are getting deep spots & sparking marks on the component which requires finishing of component & also it will take more time &cost. We are using copper plate between component & electrode even though we are facing this problem.

Please suggest any ideas to solve this problem permanently.

Thank you

Response to why weget deep spots &we are getting sparking mark on the component even though after using copper plate between component & electrode

Yours is a very common problem faced by people using AC welders. It is purely because heating time is more in case of these welders due to which the sheet matl part goes into annealed state and gets deformed.

We are manufacturers of Stored Energy welders based in Pune. These machines work on a different principle and hence heat generation is minimal. There is no dent or black mark on the job after the weld.
