Dear Santa,

Dear Santa, I know it's a little late to be writing as you are so busy right now, but what I want this year is so easy for you but seems so hard for others (I mean adults, kids have it until they are 12 or so). I've been very good this year, well, much better anyway. The only thing I want this year is for everyone to remember their Christmas Spirit and let the Joy of Christmas back into their life. Remember Christmas as a child, with awe and wonder at all the lights and decorations, the anticipation and hoping for that special gift. Let the adults put aside their anger, the stress, the family strife, and all the daily frustrations to remember the Spirit of the Season as a child. Thank you Santa. Love, Diana

May you all have a joyous holiday season and let the Christmas Spirit back into your life, if only for one day.

What special thing do you want this year?

Gentle and basic courtesies from my fellow public transportation users; products that work as they are supposed to; not being overcharged; a resurgence of politeness and manners; to compliment (instead of just complain); a bra that REALLY fits; new bookshelves (floor to ceiling); good health and healing for a friend; to be aware of the simple pleasures in life; and to know what REALLY happened in this past election. God help us all...

The correct lottery numbers ahead of time. Oh, and for you all to remember that life gets pretty precious when there is less of it to waste. Step back, smile and learn to be happy you can still take a breath. I miss my Grammy. Love to you all during this wonderful time of year. You too Flooz, James

I would like Santa to have a word with the INS so my visa goes through smoothly and on time. I'd like my father to continue to be healthy, for all my family to be well, and for my fiance's plane to land safely and on time tonight!! I'd like the old man I spoke to the other night who had no one to visit for Christmas to enjoy that take-out turkey I arranged for him and feel he had a nice holiday. I'd like my nephew to continue believing in Santa for just one more year. And I'd like all of you to have a wonderful, happy, safe holiday. :) All the best.

I want Purolator to find my Christmas box that got 'lost'. Ratfinks.....

I want my kid to have a day of his own. No scrapping, no teasing by other kids, no hurt feelings, no bullies. Just a happy day to go, "Hmmmm. I like this life."

And, uh. I want one of those, too.

Oh, and I want James to be hit by a foot of snow. Not California, just James. Wherever he is sitting right now. Flump! Snow.
