Concert Shot

Normally I wouldn't post two in a row, but there hasn't been much posting the last few days...

I don't do this sort of thing anymore, this was the last time. I was shooting for the band, James Blood Ulmer's Third Rail, and my mirror jammed after about six shots. That was it. Unfortunately, that meant no backstage shots either.

Another shot from this event is organist Amina Claudine Myers. Too bad on the mike stand, but the place was packed, and I couldn't move.

It was a great show, maybe better that the camera broke and I could just enjoy the music..

And as usual, I forgot to close the center tag.

Jeff,

You see, this is why I thought you are a "young buck," just jammin' every night!

On a serious note, why didn't you take a back up camera?

Very fine shot!

I had been doing a bunch of concert shooting and always carried a second camera, but I never needed it, except to shoot color and b&w. I wasn't shooting any color, and I just figured nothing would break. Stupid idea...

Is your monitor properly calibrated? : )

It's interesting to see how you've shot people when focusing more on the individual than the environment. Has a rather surreal feel to it.

Magazine cover! Very good shot, Jeff. Very good composition. Can't get Bob Marley out of my head now.
