Hi Guys, Im from england and i was wondering whether anyone knew where i could get ER on DVD. I saw someone on the net who had just bought them, but i can't find out where i saw them. If anyone can help me i would be really grateful. I don't mind if they are english or american DVDs cos i have a multi-player. Cheers

Liz, they have begun selling DVD's of ER here (however much I want them too), but I did hear that they are out in Japan. Hopefully someone else has more info.

Hey!!!

OK, I have answered this before, however, I really don't mind answering again - only seems fair to let others in on the joys of owning Er Dvds!!!!. Yep!, they are available in Japan only, I know of 2 places you can get them (so you can compare prices!!) and you can get Seasons 1,2,3 and 4 in Boxsets only. They were re-leased in November on Dvd. They are in the Region 2 Format (which basically is the format for Japan, Europe and the UK, however, if you have a multi regional DVD player, then they will, of course, play on yours too!). Anymore information then email me on my Hotmail address below!!! bye for now guys! TJ xx

They are selling a Friends DVD with the best chapters (they said so, not me) I wonder if they are going to release the 1-4 seasons in DVD as they did in Japan or if they are going to release a selection.

You can get all the episodes and full Seasons 1-6 of Friends in the UK, are they not available everywhere???? I thought they would be..

See? thatīs what I meant...I guess it depends on your "syndication status", I mean, if some company is broadcasting the old epis and they have good ratings it would be unlikely that they'd release them. But if they are not showing them in your country or they did long time ago, it would make more sense to release them all.

Yep!!, I agree with you. In the UK, we do get repeats of Friends, but not so much now and I don't think that the re-runs have spectcular ratings and as for Er, well we rarely seem to get the re- runs and if we amazingly do its not for long, for instance I don't think that Seasons 5 and 6 have ever been repeated, so when they release them on DVDs (like with Friends) fans obviously, buy them up!! and thats why we don't mind paying the v.expensive price for the ER Dvds from Japan in the UK (well alot of us don't mind) cos' its the only way to get to see them!!! - oh well, hey ho........I guess it would be nice for all of us if they were available, but then if you get re-runs of both shows at least you don't have to pay out for the DVDs!!!!!

I could really use a DVD collectionif it included the holiday epis and Blizzard, because they skip them here.

Thats a real shame, maybe you could get the Japanese Dvds?? - never mind eh? At least you get to see Season 7 - who knows when we'll get to see it in the UK (if ever!!!!!!!!!!!) - TTFN - TJ xx

Iīm not sure if mine is a multiplayer...must check. It isnt so bad, I mean thats how I started coming to this site, because of the reviews so I coud figure out who was who and what they were doing. Anyway...they say that fans had a vote on which Friend's epis were put on the DVDs...do you think that they will do the same with ER? I was remembering the time when you could vote which epi they would show, I think it was on TNT, I'm not sure.

Well, i would love even one DVD, as here in Australia, we dont EVER get ER re-runs (crap i know) but my parents took one look at the price and said - "No way" so it looks like i'm gonna have to save my own cash. (have tonnes of money in the bank of my own savings and even begging and saying i'll stay off ER for a week did not work.) But, i do agree with them, $270 is extreemlly pricy.

I wish they would release more TV DVD's in the United States! Those companies could make soooo much money off of my obsessions. :-)

Two questions: do you know how many DVDs are in the 6 seasons package? and does it have special features, like interviews or something? I'm asking because a friend has The Sopranos package and it takes 4 DVDs for 1 season plus features and Sopranos season has less epis than ER, so I was just wondering...=)

OK, well firstly you can only buy Seasons 1,2,3 and 4 at the moment. But, Season 1 has 7 DVDS in it, Season 2 has 6 Dvds in it, Season 3 has 6 in it and Season 4 also has 6 dvds in it. No there are no special "bits" on them (but at one site they were advertised as having a few freebies thrown in - but that was a long time ago now so don't know if you can still get that). They are pricey - but it all comes down to how much you want them and I really did want them, but I could afford them (no offense meant) so I did not really question the price. DVDS in the UK are very expensive any (ie. 6 dvds, one boxset equivalent, would cost approx. Ģ108 pounds anyway!!!). Not much difference if you consider the cost of postage and packing on the top!!

Thank you Tara-Jane...=)

Hello

I have just got ER on DVD for my birthday from my hubbie, he ordered them from CDJAPAN, and they were only about $40 each, I live in London, and they were sent very quickly. I would stay away from Sazuma another japanese company who sells them, they are more expensive, and very unreliable. Hope that helps.
