Wade's Opera House stood at 700 Maket where the Aronson/Rochester Big and Tall building now stands. Gladys Hansen in her 1980 "San Francisco almanac" says it opened in 1876. I believe the building stood untill 1906 and was replaced by Aronson Building. Wade, by the way, was a Dentist.

Good luck on your research.

Might try the San Francisco Performing Arts Library and Museum. They have a website.

Wade's Opera House was not on the site of the Aronson Building; it was on the same block of Mission Street to the west. The Aronson Building already existed at the time of the 1906 disaster.
