Ticket plea

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

The only match that I'm near a ground for over the festive season is the Man U home game. Does anyone have a spare ticket? I was originally going to talke the kids but looks like we're knackered for tickets.

Hello, LR. How are you feeling?

-- Anonymous, December 18, 2000

Gutted..pissed off....annoyed...bitter..you name it..I'm feeling it.

Just heard some bad news too....the SPS (special projects security) are gnna make a "raid" next week on the "standers". This is direct from a steward's mouth yesterday...they want about 80.

So the WHOLE of the Stretford Upper and most of the lower was standing yesterday and they could do feck all about it.....and the irony is that the club are now taking applications for 5000 terrace tickets away at Fulham.

PS..ask Jools about his little disturbances recently...he's a bad ass mutha him :-)

I thought that the club were minded to support the moves for a standing section? This is what I got from that Deepak character accidentally leaving me on his mailing list :O)). Jools seems to be a bit unhappy at the moment. I assumed he might have had a bit of trouble at Maine Road but haven't been able to get the facts out of him (e mail monkey now dead and buried apparently). Is he all right? Don't worry about the Scousers too much. We have played well once since beating you last season so they may well have a similar "after the Lord Mayor's show" experience.

AT the moment standing is not allowed....so whatever the thoughts of the club for next or subsequent seasons are the SPS will be having fun next week.

Jools has been fighting some prawn munchers for the last two home games..and I mean FIGHTING. He was hauled out yesterday!!!

Oh blimey - is he likely to have his ST removed?

-- Anonymous, December 18, 2000

He was probably close to losing it then..ONE more and it's offski :-(

I think they've slightly reduced the price of the posh seats. The bit in the middle section of the Milburn is still £71, the wings (a bit further out are £60 and the outer wings are £55. There were a good thousand empty in these areas on Saturday so there will be some still available for the Man U game. I know it's silly money but it's xmas, I would be tempted.

LR, I reckon that all grounds should have a standing area as long as there are a set amount of "standing season tickets sold" . It has to improve the atmospere at these places. Is there a national campaign or is it just MAN U fas at OT that are protesting?
