Are you done shopping? Have you even started yet? What did you buy everyone? Did you find anything perfect?

Shopping?

Is that, like, you know, when you, like, "go" someplace and spend money on something "new"?

We were the house without a Christmas tree this year until a couple of days ago. Shopping? I don't even have my list made out, much less checked twice. I dunno what's holding me up this year.

We had our family Christmas party on Saturday. At our gift exchange, the hottest gifts were: 1. A plastic battery operated m-16, which shoots plastic bb's on full auto. All the adult children in my family took turns shooting a silloutte target in the kitchen. An very high fun-to-cost ratio, as this little unit was found at www.tapco.com for 19.99.

2. A pair of "bubba teeth" provided lots of hysterical laughter, since there were some inlaws there, who hadn't met my brother, who inserted the bubba teeth, and then came into the party. Then, all the other family members proceeded to act like he always looks like that, and we watched these inlaws stare at him, of course we could only hold back our laughter for a short while, and we all had aching stomachs and smile muscles for laughing so hard. $14.00 found at Spencer gifts at the mall, but also available at cheaper than dirt, in their catalog.

Other than that, we are done with shopping. Nobody got preps this year, though I was thinking seriously of having my gift exchange contribution be a brick of 9mm high velocity units, and a new pair of sound blocking ear muffs.

I'd say that the toy m-16 was perfect. It provided lots of fun for all, and I think Santa is also bringing one for me.....!

It's been a long time since we got toys for Christmas!

Hmmm, I usually try to have the large majority of Christmas shopping done before Dec. 1. This year, however, I was studying, writing an exam and out of town until December 12th. Since then, I've done two shopping marathons (painfully, with an infected toe to 'help') and prolly have at least two more to do. With no time to do them in. And that's not counting the kids....

Stress? No, nnott attt alllll

Sis, I'm positively green with envy for your automatic toy. However, I hope it has a bright orange plastic tip?

-- helen (b@r.n), December 19, 2000.

Tricia - Sounds busy ... or maybe it won't sound so busy not so busy if you get those earmuffs.

Hope your automatic toe gets better two!

.... Or do I have things confused?

Yes, Helen, it does come with a red plastic tip, and a 2nd "safety" thingy that jams into the end of it, so incase a little kiddy is playing with it, he/she won't shoot their eye out.

Robert, you? Confused? Surely not! ;-)

Earmuffs sound like a good idea though :-)

Earmuffs sound like a sound idea though ;-)
