TBILISI, December 16 (Itar-Tass) - Georgian
power engineers used reserve power transmission
lines to restore electric energy supplies to
central Tbilisi and to major life-support
facilities at 13:40 Moscow time after the
national energy system broke down earlier on
Saturday.

The local television and the metro have also
resumed operation. The glitch left most part
of Georgia out of electricity, and experts are
trying to repair the energy system as soon as
possible.
