We may have already done this but the Chronicle had an article on how NUFC are plaugued by underachieving foreigners. If we list Marcelino, Cordone it may have a point. However, the list of underachieving Brits who are there but never going to make the grade is a lot longer & it fails to point out the list of our best players (& VFM) include foreigners - Goma, Nobby & Acuna (in the VFM cat.) Whereas only Dyer, Hughes & Shearer represent class Brits.

Excellent point Dave. I'm getting well fed up with this, as you say, Xenophobia (I thought it was fear of Buddhists or Warrior Princesses or something).
Every player has to be judged on his individual merit, NOT on his nationality, and several of the foreigners have done well as you point out. This kind of xenophobia, blathered about by the Chronic and in forums like this, can only heighten any alienation the foreign players feel and makes it mlore difficult for them to give their best. Get behind the team and back the players regardless of where they come from.
