I'll give a dollar!!!

I heard last night that Alec has changed his mind. He'd have a hard time selling his 2.8 million dollar mansion.

Oh yes....America has been good to Alec!!

Those people in Hollywood have no grip on reality.

Lee.....dittos to what you say.....with the exception of Jane Fonda as well. John is right on the money.

Lee.....

She has considered the facts of Christianity and has pursued it enough to cause her Christian hating husband Ted Turner to make life miserable for her and thus....cause their break up.

All I'm saying is......she simply cannot be dumped in the boat of Hollywood elites anymore. I'm willing to give her the benefit of doubt and see where her journey takes her.

A part of Christianity is repentance......and who knows whether or not one day we will hear her remorse over her past actions.

I think more than a dollar would be appropriate for such a noble cause.

How about all us hunters & shooters contribute an amount equal to 5% of our yearly ammunition allowance. I think that would make a fine......"Report"..........;~)

And of course, this contribution could also be made in Lead or FMJ........;~)

Now we know where we get the term, "Smart Alec"?

I don't live in the US. Whatis going on with Alec Baldwin?

-- Anonymous, December 16, 2000

Link,

A couple of weeks before the Election, Baldwin, Barbara Streisand and several other Hollywood Liberals said publicly that they would move out of the US if Bush was elected. Apparently they were afraid that a moral government would "cramp their lifestyles" and make life here unbearable.

But true to their Liberal ideas - they are now maneuvering their way out of keeping their word. Too bad, the USA could do with a lot less Liberals.

I would like to say 'Bon Voyage' to Alex Baldwin and Barbara Streisand but I will only contribute money to their departure if they agree to take Jane Fonda with them. For they are all traitors to this country and should go the way of Benedict Arnold and his kind.

They can afford their own tickets out of this country but if we were to tax them as they would like to see the rest of us taxed we could afford to set up a fund to finance the departure of all of their kind from this country.

Though they have the money to leave and stay gone permanently, I predict that they will not go any where for they will not find a place on earth better than the United States which was established and made strong by men and women with the very views that they themselves abhor!

You may see them take a few luxurious trips but you will never see them in this country or elsewhere roll up their selfish sleeves and grapple with the real issues and come face to face with the problems that ordinary people in every country face day in and day out.

Hollywood Hypocracy is evident to all thinking persons.

To be fair, Jane Fonda has apparently recently embraced Christianity and has said she has remorse for the things she had done earlier in her life. Ted Turner admitted on TV (I watched him say this yesterday) that it was largely her new faith that caused the breakup in their marriage, as Turner is outspokenly hostile towards Christianity.

Poor Al Gore. I feel for him. He is licking his wounds this weekend on the island of St. Thomas.

Brother Danny:

Thanks for your response. I had not heard that Jane Fonda had embraced Christianity. I am not sure if she has in fact heard the gospel and obeyed it and has therefore ACTUALLY become a Christian in submission to the will of Christ. Naturally, if she has in fact become a Christian my attitude toward her and her actions as a former traitor would most certianly change to forgiveness and acceptance of her as a sister in Christ our Lord.

But there is a "great gulf fixed" between "embracing Christianity" and actual conversion to Christ in obedience to the gospel and being a genuine member of the family of God. I am not in the very least interested in the platitudes of those who "embrace Christianity" in order to ultimately destroy it from within. I am seeking that men hear the truth, the blessed gospel of Christ, that they might surrender to Christ in obedience to that gospel and be His humble servants and work to increase the borders of His kingdom around the world.

It is wonderful news when any sinner is converted to Christ, but it is not necessarily reason to rejoice when a former traitor simply "embraces Christianity". If you went hunting Bear I would rejoice if you actually killed one but neither of us would rejoice if you did nothing more than "embrace" one. Even Judas "embraced our Lord" and gave him the kiss of betrayal. He is a prime example of one who "embraces Christianity" without ever being converted to Christ.

I hope that you understand my meaning in what I have said above. Let us rejoice when one is truly converted to Christ and stop being satisfied and pleased when people of fame and noteriety merely "embrace" Christianity while refusing to submit in humble obedience to Christ and His commandments. I do agree, however, that if she has at least embraced the possiblity that Christianity is true we have the basis upon which we might be able to actually convert her to Christ. Now that is what I sincerely would want to happen to Jane Fonda and given the opportunity I would, at whatever sacrifice, work very hard to accomplish.

But I am not impressed or satified that some, including Jane Fonda, merely "embrace" Christianity. While I rejoice along with the angels in heaven over one sinner that is converted to Christ and has submitted to His lordship. ANd I am sure that you rejoice with those as well.

Lee, I understand where you are going. From what I hear, she attends church regularly now (not sure where) but I don't have any further details. I also heard she went to one of Ted's ecumenical functions, some sort of inter-religious thing, where they were going to have a meditation for world peace or something, and she is reported to have refused to participate, having said it would be better if they all prayed to the Lord.

Yes, I heard a year or so ago that Jane Fonda had become a Christian. Soon after that she and Ted Turner separated.

She and Ted gave $1 Billion to the U.N. to finance abortions throughout the world.

This year, however, I read that she raised another several million (billion?) to continue that work. So we may have to wait for Jane to get further into the Word and mature in the faith before she realizes what she is doing. I had hoped that she had included that in her repentence and confession.

Link, Alec Baldwin said that he would leave the country if GWB were elected.

We need to pray today that there are no 'faithless electors' who might throw their votes to Gore, because that is still a possibility. Or at least if there are Republican ones, that there are MORE Democrat ones!

Alec Baldwin is also the person who said that 'We' (whoever they were) ought to kill the wives and children of the House Managers who voted to impeach Bill Clinton. Sarge Shriver (Democrat brother-in- law of President Kennedy) said "Cool it, Smart Alec", using a very old expression.

We need to remember those electors and Jane Fonda in our prayers.

Affectionately in Christ,

Brother Danny and Brother John:

I understand and agree with what you are saying. I hope that both of you will join me in praying that she will hear the gospel of Christ and obey it so that she will not only "embrace Christianity" but that she will be "born again" into the family of God by having been "begotten" by the gospel that saves us (Icor.15:1-4) and obtain the remission of her sins by being obedient to that form of doctrine (Romans 6:17) by having been baptized into Christ (Gal 3:26,27; ROmans 6:3-6) to wash her sins away (Acts 22:16) and be saved by Christ (Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21)by faith in the operation of God which takes place in baptism (Col. 2:11,12). For until she has been obedient to Christ in these matters she cannot be saved because Christ is the author of eternal salvatuion to all them that obey Him. Heb. 5:8,9) And those who do not obey the gospel will be etenaly lost (2 Thess. 1:8,9). I know that both of you know and understand that without such obedience their is no remission of sins. (Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16). Christ does not save those who merely "embrace" certian ideas about Him, especially since many of those ideas are contrary to His doctrine.

I do, however, very much agree with you and I am encouraged to see that she has turned in the direction of Christ and thus has put herself in the position of being thrown out by the "hollywood elite". Now I would like to see her repent of her sins and publicly confess Christ (Acts 2:38; 3:19; Matt. 10:32,33; Romans 10:9,10) and obey the Lord's command to be baptized for the remission of her sins (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16) and thus experience the "washing of regeneration" (Titus 3:3-5; Heb 10:22)and be added to the body of Christ which is the church of Christ (Eph.1:22.23; Col. 1:18, 24) Eph. 4:4) and she will then truly be "born again of water and the spirit" as our Lord taught. Then, and only then, will she actually be a Christian and can benefit from the forgiveness that is offered by Christ through his shed blood.

This is sincerely what I want for her, as I am certian that you also sincerely want for her as well.

Christianity does not need anyone's "support", Hollywood Elite" or not. Rather, all sinners, including Jane Fonda and her godless ex- husband, need the forgiveness of their sins that can only be found in Christ. Christ does not need us, rather we all need Him. Only those who "bow the knee to him" in obedience to His commands will be saved (Heb. 5:8.9).

For it is true that God hath highly exalted Christ.

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name that is above every name: That at the name of Jesus, EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW... and every TONGUE CONFESS that CHrist is Lord to the glory of God the father.(Phil. 2:10,11).
