Batty given run out in reserves Matthew Dunn

David Batty will play his first game in public for 12 months on Thursday night when he faces Sheffield Wednesday reserves at Hillsborough.

The Leeds midfielder, who limped off in a Worthington Cup clash with Leicester a year ago tomorrow, returns after three operations on his Achilles and knee.

If he comes through the test, he could be on the bench against Sunderland on Saturday.
