I heard a reporter state that they had paid more for him than they had paid when buying the entire team 2 years ago. Amazing!

$45K for every plate appearance. Absolutely out of control!!

Yeah, A-Rod is very good. But not what the Rangers really needed. I can only hope he uses that $252 million to BUY the team, and the go out and find some pitching, dammit!

First they steal the election, then they steal A-Rod. I hope his injury doesn't come back and keep him from playing for a year or two.

Amazing what the gas price increases have managed to do this year, buy the presidental election and throw Alex in on the deal. And you pay at the pump. Watch gas prices go down when W gets into the white house~he will get credit for prices going down, it will be true in a way, he won't be needing the campaign money any more.

From Flint:

Yeah, A-Rod is very good.

It is easy to look very good if you play on the Seattle team. I would base my opinion on the Rangers previous decisions. Remind me, how many WS have they won in the last decade. Nope; based on their track record I would consider it a bad decision. They are practiced at making them. You never lose much betting against losers.

Best Wishes,,,
