Hello AME family, it is sunny and -22 below zero here in Bozeman, Montana (yes minus 22 below zero.) Anyway what is your church doing for christmas? Will there be christmas plays, music, dinners, and does your church do something special for the community, food baskets etc. Jesus is the reason for the season. Joy in Christ for he is our salvation.

Reedy Chapel, the Mother Church of African Methodism in texas, had a candlelight service Sunday, which blended scripture readings with Christmas Carols. We are currently gathering goods to donate baskets to needy families. We just donates some food this past weeekend, and the pastor is about to take some more, as I write, to the homeless. We will have our youth participate in 11 AM worship with a short play, and there will be a Christmas Morning service. Rev. Brenda Payne is the pastor.

We participated in dressing 24 Teddy Bears which were given to the Salvation Army for distribution to Needy children at Christmas. We prepared and distributed 11 baskets to Children and Youth Services in our area. We are adopting a family of children and providing new clothing and toys for them. Rev. A. Sherald is the Pastor.

Wow! I wish I could attend everyone's service. It all sounds great. At St. Paul Community Church, Bozeman,Montana. It will be our fourth service. We will have a reading of a Christmas play, candle light service, jazz guitarist and a potluck after the service. We will have a special collection for a "transient ministry" in our town.
