Hold on just a minute mate, not only are you contradicting yourself in your rant at me, but you are agreeing with some of the things I said.

Lets just dissect some of your statements for a moment:-

1)"Arsenal are arguably the best team in the league". I doubt many people either on this board or anywhere else would agree with that. The fact is that Man U are the best team in the country by a mile and will win the league in a canter once more this season.

2)"We caught Arsenal on a very good day". No we did not! We played an Arsenal side that was low on confidence and knackered after another big European game. The fact is that Newcastle were so pathetic in terms of effort and committment that Arsenal hardly had to break sweat to score 5 goals. If they could have been bothered it would have been 10-0, no question. We did'nt make them earn it and that is unforgiveable!

3)"How can you slag Barton and Speed when they would die for the club?". Barton certainly is committed (I stated that in my original posting by the way) but he is'nt good enough at the highest level therefore I am entitled to 'slag him off' all I damn well like! And Speed? committed? Dont make me laugh. Gary Speed is a player past his best who knows what side his bread is best buttered. Playing for a massive club on undeserved astronomical wages, where he can stand out amongst a midfield of mediocrity, and maybe just maybe actually put in some good performances when he feels like it and then take the adulation when he feels like it. That may be good enough for you matey but it aint for me.

4)"Aaron Hughes is 21 years old and has been our best player blah blah blah...". Thats a contentious issue for a start but so fucking what!. And since when did age have anything to do with it? What is the old saying? - if your good enough then you are old enough. Look at Rio Ferdinand, similar age as Hughes and the most expensive English player in history. The point I made about Hughes though, if you'd read it properly, was that I think he is worth having as a valuable squad member but IMHO will not make it as a world class defender. I realise that this point is debateable but thats what these forums are for, are they not?

5) "Solano is the only person capable of creating a goal...I would have him in my team every week...not his job to get stuck in...". Bullshit on all counts pal. If Solano is the only person who we can depend on to create something then we best get ready for the Nationwide right now. Solano creates when he feels like it and plays well when he feels like it. That does not warrant a place in the team every week. And it IS his job to get fucking stuck in just as it is the job of every bastard to get fucking stuck in. For fucks sake can't you see that this is why we got hammered on Saturday and embarrassed by Birmingham and outfought by the Mackems?

6)"Get off their backs and support them". Excuse me mate but do me a favour and cut down on the patronising crap eh? I dont spend £150 and 6 hours on a fucking train to go and lambast the team that I love, but I AM entitled to register my dissapproval when I feel like it. The fans were fantastic as usual on Saturday but that was more to do withe vocal battles that were going on with the Cockney bastards next to us rather than taking any pride from a 5-0 towsing. I agree when people say we are sometimes our worst enemies because we send out the wrong message to the club that we are prepared to put up with shite like Saturday. You might be happy to put up with that but I aint. Saturday's performance was unacceptable no matter how many injuries we were carrying. Look at Man U, Arsenal and Liverpool fans. A bunch or miserable, whinging twats but it works for them because it puts pressure on their clubs to perform. I'm not saying we should be like them, but rather that we are far to fucking soft!.

7)"Bobby got his tactics wrong". Well I would'nt disagree with you on that one, but I doubt if Bobby's tactics included statements along the lines of 'Right lads go out there, play like a bunch of pussies, concede a goal as soon as possible and then capitulate completely. Oh and while your at it after the game completely snub the fans who pay your fucking wages and head straight for the bastard tunnel'. Getting my drift here?.

8)"Acuna and Bassedas are 2 more average foreigners who are'nt any better than what we've already got....look at how much money we are spending on players uncommitted to the club....look at the Mackems". Thats what I said or did'nt you read it properly? I stated that buying all of these South American nobodies and putting them on huge wages is not going to get us anywhere, either short or long term. And I was the one who said we should take a leaf out of the SMBs book or go back in for the TOP foreign stars.

9)"Lets just get rid of Dyer, Domi Goma, Marcelino etc etc..." Well I am agreeing with you there but I also said that it would take time and we could not do it overnight.

10)"I would happily see that team play for the rest of the season". So would I but only after they have had a gigantic fucking rocket up the arse of each and every one of them. At the end of the day I also stated that we do have players capable of getting us into round about the top six but only if they sort out the serious attitude problem that exists at the club.

So to summarise, my views were a look to the future and what should happen after this debacle. I know it cant happen overnight but we have to start rolling again. The club has gone backwards bigtime for 3 years. Bobby stabilized it but the time has come to start SERIOUSLY pushing on again. That means the board dump the apathy, stop waiting for the FIFA ruling and give Bobby the cash, whilst Bobby must stop looking to bring in South American trash and get himself after the top players.

And finally Tony, its all very well disagreeing and criticizing my views but did you have to be so abusive? At the end of the day I'm just like you, a devoted toon fan, I want what you want so save the abuse for where it is meant...at the Sad Mackem Bastards!!

An outside point of view.

This is a private discussion between you Mags so I won't go on too much...but from what I saw on MOTD..and yes I know it was only highlights...I saw a Newcastle team lacking guts...guts to FIGHT and CHASE. One example that iIrecall and at the time I said "fuck me....is he on lazy pills" and it was when yer No 15 (I think) was chasing back...if you can call it that.....and he was fuckin' dawdling when Henry (agin I think) was bearing down on goal. The goal was scored and yer N0 15 whoever he was had stopped for a fag.

It would be easy to jump all over this thread and tell U why MUFC are better than NUFC at the mo, but to be honest Smiler you all seem like yer suffering a bit....and then I see what I saw on MOTD and it becomes even more obvious.
