5-0 in perspective (ish)

It has to be said that in most recent seasons we have taken what amounts to a tonking at least once. Last season it was 5-1 away to Manchester United, the season before that a 4-1 stuffing by Liverpool at SJP, the season before that a 4-1 shafting at Elland Road against Leeds.

Whatever else we (and I mean that in the Royal sense of the word)do we must still get behind the lads on Saturday at SJP. We have to try to be positive, as difficult as that is at the moment otherwise we really are in for a long cold miserable winter.

HAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAY THE LADS

I suppose you're right Ken, must admit I would rather be "tonked" by a decent team, than lose by one to a sh!te team (again). I just hope the players are as p!$$ed off at the @rse result as most of us were/are. Could make for an interesting game. But wait, we could lose 1-0 again ;-))

Why should anyone doubt that come 3pm on Saturday the Toon Army will be anything other than supportive of the team?

What is said on here, is what would be expressed over the pre-match pint; but at 2:45pm you zip up your parka, go to your seat, and wait for the Lads to appear to sing your heart out - apart from the PSB (Prawn Sandwich Brigade) that is.

When has it ever been different?

The only threat to this would be if the crowd really came to believe that the team were not playing for them - and their shirts.
