I am supposed to summarize the 4 sections in Poe's poem "Thanatopsis" In these summarizes i need the message they show. Please help ASAP! I have progress reporst in 2 days (Wednesday December 13) and it was actually due a wekk ago! i nee your help. -Abby

Abby,I'm sorry dear, but this poem, "Thanatopsis", is not by Edgar Allan Poe but by William Cullen Bryant. I wish I could help, alas, my area is Poe.

Thanatopsis is a poem about the goodness of death. Byrant talks about how we become part of nature (the soil) after death. Social groups no longer matter. The rich, the poor, the old, and the young are all the same. death should be praised.
