Need help centering my images

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I'm scanning in images from an Epson 1640SU Photo to Photoshop 5.0, then printing on an HP 990 Cxi...

The image (in portrait format) is centered left to right, but not top to bottom! Image is printed towards the top of the page - I have a tiny margin on top (@.5cm) and a huge margin on the bottom (@2cm).

Having a border is fine with me - I just want it to be even all the way around. I've spoken with Adobe (no help - adjusting canvas size didn't appear to work) and also HP (no help also).

Do I need to buy a software program like Illustrator or Pagemaker (Publisher??) Any ideas???

Thanks, Travis

Make sure you've got the correct paper size set in the printer properties box. There's also a border size option in PS5's printer menu.
Failing that, buy a guillotine and chop the borders to size.
