In my first post, I wasn't yet trying to transfer the image, but that was gonna be my next step -- as soon as I'd learned how. Anyway, I'd like to tell you how much I enjoy and appreciate all the images you post on the fora -- it really adds a fresh dimension to things. I'm sure I haven't seen 'em all, but the moving, disappearing drink was especially memorable -- every time I lunged at the screen I just ended up with an empty glass or that ol' "white background" taste in my mouth...:)

Mine can't either, Peg. And when I paste the URL in the address area of my browser, the result is, "Access forbidden from external hosts." eve, perhaps the image source is on a non-public server. Send in the clown filled car. 8^)

Mornin' Dave and Peg...Arggghhhh....now I'm on at a different site -- at home (the ol' "I'm in a blizzard" excuse...) -- and they're all coming up "X"s! I was at work yesterday -- big place, with a server. Yet, even there, Peg's didn't show up as anything -- as I recall. Dave -- I think you're on to something, though.

If anyone's reading this, could you tell me if, from the last two posts, you can view either, or both, of the images?From my vantage point, the former post carries only a red "x" while the latter allows me to link up and view the image.

Hi eve,The latter post took me to a Yahoo photos page that said the following: "You have reached a restricted area. Please return to Yahoo! Photos." It seems that one has to be a registered user on Yahoo! Photos even to just view photos there.

Hi Dave,Thanks for responding. The first link on this thread was my link to a "jpg" file that I transferred the picture to (from Yahoo). Now when I try to link up to it, it has a restricted access message. Go figure. I guess I need to learn some more about this whole process.

It may be that when you originally clicked on the first link in this thread, your PC still "remembered" the Yahoo!Photos page where the image was posted, hence it didn't try to fetch it by going "through the internet." (BTW, if you are eager for at least one of your forum friends to see the photo, I would be happy to receive it via email.)

eve,You're trying to paste something that won't allow external access...I don't think it will work.
You might try sending yourself an email with the url to see if it works (that's what I do sometimes).

Since eve and I were able on some attempts, to access her Yahoo!Photos posting via its URL, I surmise that Yahoo!Photos has some kind of bug in their access security hardware/software. It would make no business sense for them to establish a login process, only to permit its bypass.

Just Trying,Thanks for trying. It's in the "thumbnail" page section of my Yahoo Photos, but I couldn't upload it to either the profile page or the regular photo page -- I get the error message that it can't be accepted unless it's a "JPEG" ofr "GIF." This pic's a "JPG". So, what do I do now?
Anyway, given this, heck if I know why my "thumbnail" page accepted it.

Hi eve,I just checked my mail box and didn't see it in there. (Could you have forgotten to send it?) I also checked this thread with a couple of browsers and anonymizers and got mixed results. I'm going to check to see how "im@g.e" and Peg posted theirs and if they did it from somewhere other than a Yahoo page. Peg, I think the reason some can see it an some can it because it comes from an anonymized source. I just downloaded it to my D drive and I'm going to go upload it at angelfire now.

Netsc@pe 6.0,The image Peg posted here is not anonymized. I cropped Eve's photo and loaded it in to a Photopoint site I created today. Peg is linking from that source.

Ok, now I think I might know what's going on. I always post with an anonymizer (ok almost always) and I can't see those photos with the anonymizer on. When I look at the img src with the anonymizer on, it reads like this:

That's why I thought it was from an anonymized source. What the heck! At least there's a lot of pretty pictures of eve around!
