Dyer Straits?

Come on then...in the light of YBR's finances being tight would you sell young Kieron if someone offered 15 million?

Add Domi, Goma and Marcelino to the list and it would give Boby some scope to play.

On Saturday, Bobby said that we had money but that we are not prepared to spend it just yet. Besides which, no European place, probably no european place next season - which World Class players exactly do we ex[ect to buy?

Having seen Syer's performance on Saturday, we'd be bliddy lucky to get £1.5M for him. Yes, I'd take £15M right now. Let's face it, what has he done since we paid £6M for him? Two or three top class goals, and a few dribbles. IMHO, LKD is a luxury that we can't afford right now. My only rider would be that I'd like him to be sold outside the Premiership.

So who would I invest my £15M in? Well, for a start I believe Titi Camara is on sale at £2M. Bite their bliddy hands off. So now I'll pass the quetions on. If YBR had £13M, who would you buy?

We are faced with buying potential not established class. The money is there but the board is not willing to splash the cash until the transfer system is sorted out, which considering the massive outlays in the past, has to be understandable.

The trouble is that we are in such a desperate situation that we may have no other option. I wonder if we could find a company who would offer insurance against losses in this way. A high premium but cash if a player chuffs off.

Domi and Goma will walk away anyway so I'd sell them now.

Owen Morrison from Sheff Wed, left winger and great crosser, British and would cost less than £2 million. He'll cost double that in a years time I reckon.

I'd also give Kieron Dyer a run as our right winger. We expect too much of him in the middle or the free role. He made his name as an attacking right winger so why change it. He has the ability to beat a man so why not put him where he can do that more easily, the right wing.

A settled run, and I think we'll get more consistency from him. No point in having Solano when nobody is tall enough in the middle to get the header in.

"No point in having Solano when nobody is tall enough in the middle to get the header in".

Then why buy a great left-footed crosser of the ball from Sheff Wed, DB?

I suppose you are right about the club not wanting to splash out any cash until the transfer system is sorted out, but it is not unfeasible that we could very soon be thrashing around in the the bottom half of the table, and the Directors of the club need to consider the possible ramifications of that too.

Having said that, it isn`t just the case of needing one good player in, we need several - and that just isn`t going to happen. So am I being too gloomy to think that Bobby can only look at the rest of the season as an exercise in damage limitation?(:o|

Screach, you're being too hard on the lad. He got all of his shots on target on Saturday.... in fact he had more shots himself than all the rest of our team put together!!!

Clarky,

To stretch the play out across the whole of the pitch with line hugging wingers who will release far more space for the limited attackers we have who can create their own space. That's my immediate fix.

When Shearer and Cort are fit we have crossers who will supply them.

I'm not as hasty to cash on Dyer. He has certainly been disappointing (to say the least) but I still have faith, albeit a faith quickly evaporating.

I reckon he needs to

a) get a decent kicking on the pitch
b) get angry and get even
c) run at players
d) face the f**king goal!

And that, my friends, is how to make a footballer :-)
