Prayer for deportation hearing

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Christian Church : One Thread

Dear Praying Partners,

We greet you in Christ's name.

Friends around the world have agreed to fast and pray for us specially on Monday, which will be early Tuesday if you live in the Eastern United States. We would very much appreciate your prayers and fasting, too, if you will join us.

We are doing the best we can to prepare for these hearings. That includes talking with our lawyers, who are immigration specialists and will be defending us at the hearing(s). In the Philippines, unlike the US, Australia, or Britain, much of the "visa business" is conducted by a travel agent or lawyer, who have full-time employees who work at BID, standing in line, travelling in traffic, and completing forms. Our case now requires that we hire lawyers, even though we obtained permanent residence without one.

Please pray for :

1. Justice to be given to us. 2. Fair-minded commissioners who will sit at the hearing. 3. Our personal health and that of our children. Both Ross and Andrew have been ill this weekend. (Just a round of flu and vomiting.) 4. Friends and supporters here who are our "Christian family" here in Manila. 5. Us to have Christ-like attitudes. 6. Peace that passes all understanding. 7. Our continuing ministries of teaching and church leadership.

We wish you a truly blessed holiday season in Christ.

Serving the Christ in the manger,

Ross and Cheryl Wissmann
