I was wondering if any of the leica users here had a website, showing some of their work ?

It's certainly not a Leica photography website ('though it includes photos I took with my Leica) but it may be of interest:

Here is a website with leica links and a very long list of Leica photographers' websites:

ok, so that answers that....you guys have leicas, but dont shoot photographs....i guess its more interesting to freeze a $3000 camera than use it for what it was made for....

thanks all...

Grant, Maybe not very many people have websites, although they are probably using their Leicas. I know that I am using mine constantly. Anyway here are a few of my pictures. http://www.streetphoto.net Steve

Grant, the point of John's freezing test was, I assume, to determine at what temperature Leica M cameras cease to function. I personally find his results, interesting and valuable. Can't see how it has anything to do with how many photos someone takes, besides they are John's cameras to do with as he pleases.

For a site with links to some Leica tests:

Grant, You may recall my posts and URL's from streetphoto@topica.com as well. I don't think we should brow beat folks too much. I use a Nikon SLR as well as Leica M and find fine qualities in both tools. The specific experiences discussed here are educational and compliment the sometimes lofty intellectual photographic aesthetic or professional experience discussions on other lists. Even though I acknowledge that economics can create fetishism, I would never suggest that professsional work is in anyway inherently more interesting than work by an amateur. Maybe the ideal list would be one that has "I'm not OK, your not OK as it's central discusssion topic.

Steve, nice site with great pictures.

By the way Grant, you have some pretty good b&W photos at photocritique.net. Do you use a Leica? If not, it doesn't really matter since your images speak for themselves.

Grant

That's a good one - no website - no photos! Ha ha! I take many photos but have no website - I don't want one at present.
