During the large car purchase in 11/65, did the Seaboard purchase ex- FEC cars coach Vero Beach (#6255), diner/lounge South Bay (#6620) or two other FEC cars numbered 6621 and 6622, along with most other FEC cars?

SAL did purchase the Vero Beach and the South Bay. You may be confusing the last two numbers with cars 6606 Lake Worth and 6607 Bay Biscayne. Information on the last two cars is in my article on observation cars in the previous issue of Lines South. A list of the cars purchased by SAL from FEC is also to be found in previous discussions on this web site.

My records show that the Vero Beach and South Bay went to the Seaboard. There were no cars numbered 6621-22.
