FT-1 front piece WTB

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Konica 35mm SLRs : One Thread

Hi folks,

I'm looking for a front piece for an FT-1, to replace a badly cracked one. This is the black plastic part that is under & around the chromed lens mount ring, has leatherette on either side and that the self-timer led mounts in. It's all one piece, from the battery case across to the door latch and from top plate to bottom plate (at least it's supposed to be one piece, mine is more than one piece). I haven't tried Konica yet, but thought I would first ask if anyone had a spare they would like to sell. I don't need "new", this is a decent user camera.

Thanks in advance & happy holidays!

Alan,Could you share their e-mail address with us. I've always had to call their 1-800 number. This would be a lot easier. Thanks,Dave

Konica Camera Repair

Hi Dave!

The email address I have is for the woman that works there - Judy Garland - her email is Garland_J@konica.com - I found her very helpful and considerate.

Konica parts & repair: e-mail, fax & phones

Yes, Judy is one of the folks I've dealt with there, very helpful. Also, Kathi. Their general e-mail is camera@konica.com This would probably be better than sending to a specific individual, as they might be on vacation. They ask you to be sure to specify what camera model you are inquiring about. Also, their phones are (800) 285-6422 and (201) 574-4000, fax (201) 574-4010, New Jersey, so Eastern Time. They only offer parts & service on the late model cameras. (FT-1, I'm sure about, but nothing for my T4s)

Konica e-mail

Thanks to both Alan and Lee for the prompt reply in providing Konica's e-mail and fax no.'s. In the past I've spoken with Kathi in the parts dept. and she has always been very helpful. Dave
